3.3 magnitude earthquake strikes in Butte County

A preliminary 3.3 magnitude earthquake struck Wednesday morning in Butte County, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake hit at 9:06 a.m. and was centered about 28 miles southwest of Chico, the USGS said.
