M3.2 earthquake rumbles east of San Jose, USGS says

A preliminary 3.2 magnitude earthquake struck early Wednesday morning east of San Jose, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake struck at 1:09 a.m. and was centered about 15 miles east downtown San Jose and about 9 miles north of Morgan Hill, the USGS, said.
