A preliminary 2.6 magnitude earthquake struck Tuesday morning just south of Gilroy, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The quake, centered about 4 miles south-southwest of Gilroy, hit at 8:39 a.m., the USGS said.
No other information was immediately available. Updates to come.
