M2.9 Earthquake Shakes Near San Leandro: USGS

A preliminary 2.9 magnitude earthquake struck Wednesday morning in the East Bay, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake, centered about 2 miles east-northeast of San Leandro, shook at 6:21 a.m., the USGS said.
