Oakland Zoo cares for malnourished spider monkey found during DUI traffic stop
The Oakland Zoo is kicking off the new year by caring for a malnourished spider monkey found in a car during a traffic stop in Central California, according to the zoo and the California Highway Patrol. NBC Bay Area’s Jessica Aguirre spoke with Darren Minier, director of Animal Welfare and Research at the Oakland Zoo, to understand the zoo’s plan and the condition of the monkey.
