Embarcadero in SF Reopens After Water Crashes Over Seal Wall

The Embarcadero was reopened on Thursday after initially being shut in San Francisco because of water crashing over the sea wall.

The temporary closure was from from AT&T Park to Pier 39.

The waves looked dramatic with the Bay Bridge looming dark and gray in the background.

The Bay Area was pounded with rain on Thursday during the largest storm since 2009. In addition to the Embarcadero being closed, more than 100,000 were without power in San Francisco after a PG&E substation blew.

Streets in San Francisco and other part of the Bay Area were also flooding.
