Anyone who drove through Mountain View on 101 Thursday might be wondering: What was going on at Shoreline Amphitheatre?
Traffic was backed up in the vicinity – even though an earlier accident had long been cleared – but the venue’s calendar shows nothing scheduled until Aug. 21.
Mountain View police confirmed to NBC Bay Area the backup was the result of a private event at Shoreline, not a Google private event, as one Twitter user had speculated. A quick search of social media turned up the answer: Facebook’s annual summer party for employees and their families.
This year’s theme: “Facebook Circus.”
