FBI Prostitution Bust Uncovers Hidden Bay Area Brothels

Brothels in the Bay Area are moving in on new neighborhoods. Jean Elle reports.

Zac Brown thought the Archstone Apartments in San Bruno was a safe place to live -- until police showed up Friday.

The raid was part of the FBI's nationwide crackdown on child sex trafficking.

South San Francisco police officers made dates on the websites Redbook and Backpage. The dates directed officers to the Archstone complex.

Police said a pimp and two women in the complex, where apartments rent for $2,500 a month, were arrested.

Prostitution in the Peninsula is a big business, according to police, who said pimps are operating online and out of apartments and hotels.
