Firefighters battled and eventually gained control of a three-alarm blaze that burned two homes in San Jose Monday afternoon, the fire department said.
The fire broke out along the 1700 block of Mt. Kenya Drive, according to the department.
The extent of the damage and the cause of the blaze were not immediately known.
Seven residents may be displaced, the fire department said.
