The flu has claimed the life of one more Bay Area resident in Contra Costa County.
Contra Costa County health officials confirmed one new flu death, a woman in her 40s. There has been a total of 7 deaths since December in the county.
That brings the Bay Area tally to 49 flu-related deaths this winter season.
