Hail, Sleet Blanket Parts of Sacramento

It’s finally looking like Winter in the Sierra. In Nevada City, kids are enjoying a snow day and the long overdue Winter weather. While the snow is certainly welcome, it’s not enough to make up for the dry last couple of months. Right now the snowpack is at 20 percent of normal. And in Sacramento you can see graupel: hail and sleet, which looks like snow. The hail and sleet is creating slippery roads and walkways, and even power outages throughout Sacramento.
