‘Hot Felon' Is Out of Calif. Prison, Ready to Embark on Modeling Career

The Stockton man's "dreamy" mugshot is up on a talent management website

Jeremy Meeks, whose "dreamy" mugshot made him a viral sensation, is out of prison and may be ready to start his modeling career.

Federal jail records show Meeks is in a residential reentry program in Sacramento, California, and will be released on July 7.

Meeks was arrested on weapons charges, but his looks raised the possibility of a modeling career, and he now has an agent, Jim Jordan of White Cross Management.

Jordan told NBC Bay Area that Meeks was released at 9 a.m. Tuesday and greeted by his wife, three children and himself. Meeks then reported to "transitional housing."

"We have a lot in store regarding Jeremy’s new career. There are a multitude of offers on the table," Jordan said in a statement Wednesday. "Jeremy is humbled and grateful and overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for him and his family."

Meeks, 32, was arrested on felony weapons charges during a sweep of the Western Ranch area of Stockton in 2014. Police called Meeks "one of the most violent criminals in the Stockton area.''

While Stockton police posted his mug shot to share information about his arrest with the public, his chiseled features and piercing blue eyes proved to be a big hit online, garnering more than 100,000 likes on Facebook. He was dubbed the "hot felon."

A few seemed smitten by the teardrop tattoo next to his eye. Others found him "gorgeous," "dreamy," 'hot" and "incredibly handsome."

Comments on the Facebook post included everything from "I am in love with a criminal!" to "Can I be your cellmate?"

“We’re putting everything in place,” Jordan told Buzzfeed, which first reported the story. “There’s movies on the table. We have a lot of different things happening.”

White Cross Management has Meeks’ mugshot up as a headshot on its website, next to those of other male models, and Meeks lists Jordan as his manager on his verified Instagram account.

The account, with more than 9,000 followers, has been active in 2016.

"I want to thank my family and everybody for all your love, support and prayers," he wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
