Jahi McMath Hearing Postponed, Prayer Vigil Scheduled for Tonight

A prayer vigil will be held Wednesday night for Jahi McMath, a 13-year-old Oakland girl who was declared brain dead last December.

The vigil will be held at Yeshua Our Lord at 1406 Miller Street in Oakland at 7 p.m.

Jahi's family is asking a judge to issue an order saying that she is still alive.

A hearing on the matter had been scheduled in Alameda County Superior Court in Oakland for 9 a.m. on Thursday but it was canceled after Christopher Dolan, the family's attorney, asked for more time to provide additional medical evidence. No new court date has been set.
