President Joe Biden arrived in the Bay Area on Thursday for reelection campaign fundraisers.
Biden left Washington, D.C. on Air Force One and arrived just before 7:30 p.m. at Moffett Federal Airfield in Mountain View, then will travel into San Francisco from there.
On Friday, the president will attend two fundraisers in the Bay Area before leaving to Seattle later in the day, White House officials said.
According to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, California Street is closed between Powell and Taylor streets all day Thursday and Friday, as is Mason Street between Pine and Sacramento streets. The California cable car line will also be replaced by buses both days.
The president last visited San Francisco in February, when he attended two events in support of his re-election campaign. During that visit, he also met with the widow and daughter of Alexei Navalny following the death of the Russian opposition leader.
