Palo Alto's Lily Zhang advances to round of 32 in women's table tennis at Paris Olympics

Lily Zhang, a six-time U.S. national champion, secured a 4-0 victory against Mariana Sahakian on Sunday, advancing to the round of 32 in her fourth Olympics.

Zhang was born in Redwood City and raised in Palo Alto. She also attended UC Berkeley.

Last November, NBC Bay Area caught up with Zhang as she was prepping for the Olympics.
