A popular San Francisco Italian deli and grocer that's been in business for more than nine decades is closing up shop for good this spring.
Lucca Ravioli at the corner of Valencia and 22nd streets in the city's Mission district is set to close April 20, according to Eater San Francisco.
The family-owned shop known for its pastas was established in 1925. The owner is selling the building and surrounding property to a developer, which plans to build a five-story development at the site, according to SocketSite.
Lucca is best known for its pastas, which passersby can watch employees make though a window from the street, Eater SF said. The store also sells Italian meats, sandwiches, wines, and cheeses.
