Major Noise Expected During PG&E Repair Work in San Carlos

PG&E says repair work in San Carlos could sound as loud as a jet engine, and could last up to an hour. Christie Smith reports.

Don't worry if you wake up early Friday morning in San Carlos and you feel like jet engines are flying over your home.

PG&E crews are doing emergency work on a minor repair of a transmission line along U.S. Highway 101 in San Carlos, and the work is supposed to be really noisy as crews try to rid a pipeline full of gas.

The work was supposed to have started at 2 a.m. but it has been delayed several times. The work is expected to continue throughout the day.
