Santa Rosa police are investigating after a man was found dead in the area on Saturday morning.
Police said they found the body at around 9 a.m. at Santa Rosa Creek. Officials have not disclosed if the death was related to the flooding caused by the atmospheric river that hit the Bay Area. Officers initially responded to the scene when a passerby said they spotted a deceased person in Piner Creek.
According to police, the man's body was found between Guerneville and Fulton roads.
The man is believed to be in his mid-60s and is Caucasian.
A police spokesman said they are trying to determine the cause of death.
No other details were released.
