A man was fatally shot in San Jose Saturday night, marking the city's first homicide of 2025, according to police.
The shooting happened at about 10:11 p.m. along the 3100 block of Loma Verde Drive, police said.
Responding officers found the man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital but did not survive.
His identity will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after next of kin are notified.
The motive and circumstance surrounding the shooting are being investigated.
