SF BART station reopens following medical emergency, equipment problem

NBC Bay Area

Regular BART service resumed at about 11 a.m. on Saturday, after the San Francisco line was suspended because of a major medical emergency and an equipment problem at Embarcadero.

BART advisories first warned of 10-minute delays at 8:40 a.m. The Embarcadero station was closed about 15 minutes later and service was suspended by 9:10 a.m.

SF Muni provided service in San Francisco during the service suspension, while AC Transit provided transbay service.

No other details were released.
