Napa police are investigating a shooting Thursday afternoon.
Police issued an alert shortly after 12:45 p.m. asking people to avoid the area of the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue while officers investigate the shooting.
Police did not release any other details about the shooting but said there is no ongoing threat to the community from it.
