A small SUV was engulfed in flames on the Bay Bridge Monday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
According to the CHP, no injuries were reported. The driver could be seen standing next to the car, officers said.
A Sig Alert was issued after at least two lanes were blocked on the westbound side of the bridge due to the fire, which was visible for miles. The alert was canceled and the lanes were reopened at 11 a.m.
Monday morning commuters, including Chef Russell Jackson, Season 9 Food Network Star finalist from San Francisco, posted photos of the fire on Twitter and Instagram.
