Letters to police tied a convicted kidnapper to other crimes

The man convicted of a notorious Bay Area kidnapping is now being tied to at least four other crimes. Matthew Muller was convicted of raping and kidnapping Denise Huskins Quinn and tying up her now-husband Aaron Quinn in Vallejo close to a decade ago. The case made international headlines and recently caught the interest of Netflix, which aired a documentary series about the case. Seaside Police Chief Nick Borges watched the show and decided to write Muller in prison. NBC Bay Area’s Jessica Aguirre spoke with Borges to learn more about his correspondence with Muller and how it tied him to other crimes.
