A four-alarm brush fire near Interstate 580 in the Oakland Hills has damaged multiple homes and sparked an evacuation order.
The blaze has burned at least 8 acres, and was reported Friday afternoon in the area of Mountain Boulevard and Maynard Avenue.
An evacuation order is in place for Campus Drive and Crystal Ridge Court. No injuries have been reported, according to firefighters.
Westbound lanes of I-580 in the area is shut down while crews respond.
The Oakland Fire Department said more than 80 firefighters are responding to the blaze.
Meanwhile, a red flag warning is in effect for the Bay Area due to dry and windy conditions.
