Police are investigating an armed carjacking that left four people, including two police officers, injured in Oakland Wednesday.

Police are investigating an armed carjacking that left four people, including two police officers, injured in Oakland Wednesday.

The incident was reported in the area of 32nd and West streets around 5 p.m.

Undercover police officers witnessed the carjacking and that led to a short pursuit involving several vehicles. The pursuit ended with one of the suspects crashing into a marked OPD patrol car.

The carjacking victim, two officers, and one of the suspects were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Several people were taken into custody.
