The incident was reported in the area of 32nd and West streets around 5 p.m.

Undercover police officers witnessed the carjacking and that led to a short pursuit involving several vehicles. The pursuit ended with one of the suspects crashing into a marked OPD patrol car.

Here's what we know about a heavy police presence in Oakland.

The carjacking victim, two officers, and one of the suspects were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Several people were taken into custody.
