A bicyclist was killed after being struck by Muni buses on Sunday afternoon in San Francisco, officials said.
The collision occured at around 3:23 p.m. in the 500 block of Market Street between two Muni buses and the 48-year-old male cyclist, according to police.
Market Street, from Sutter to Battery streets, is shut down in both directions for police investigation.
The cyclist appeared to have been caught between the two buses traveling west-bound on Market Street, officials said. The cyclist was wearing a helmet.
At 4:39 p.m., San Francisco police officer Grace Gatpandan posted on Twitter that she was on her way to the traffic collision.
There was another traffic collision Saturday afternoon between a horse trailer and a 46-year-old female bicyclist reported on Embarcadero and Chestnut Street, officials said.
The cyclist was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive.
