A main thoroughfare in Palo Alto reopened Thursday afternoon after being closed for hours because of a gas line break, according to police.
Palo Alto police issued an alert shortly before 11:45 a.m. about the gas leak in the 800 block of University Avenue. The response to the leak shut down University between Seneca and Guinda streets.
Police said just before 3 p.m. that the roadway had reopened. No other details were immediately available.
