Stanford University drops case against student journalist covering protest

Stanford University has dropped its case against a student journalist at The Stanford Daily, the student-run publication of Stanford University, covering a pro-Palestinian protest on campus. Although Dilan Gohill, the journalist in question, has no case pending from the academic institution, he could still face charges by the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office. He was originally detained in June on suspicion of felony burglary, vandalism, and conspiracy. NBC Bay Area’s Raj Mathai spoke with Gohill to understand the potential charges against him and what’s next.
