Power was restored to PG&E customers in San Francisco Saturday, after at least 8,888 were affected by an outage the night before.
PG&E said it believes the outage was caused by an equipment failure. Further details weren't available.
By 10 p.m. Friday, the number of customers affected by the outage were down to 1,600.
The areas impacted included Golden Gate Park and parts of the Sunset.
