A preliminary 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck late Monday morning in northern Sonoma County, near the Lake County line, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The quake hit at 11:50 a.m. and was centered 4.7 miles south of Cobb, 12.7 miles northeast of Healdsburg and 14.9 miles south-southwest of Clearlake, the USGS said.
No other information was immediately available.
