Demonstrators to Demand Change in Iran Following Death of Mahsa Amini

Protesters will gather Sunday in San Francisco to demand change in Iran after the death of Mahsa Amini. The 22-year-old was killed in custody after being arrested by Iran’s morality police for not properly wearing a headscarf. Protesters want to form a human chain the entire length of the Golden Gate Bridge to show solidarity for women’s rights in Iran. The protest will take place at 11 a.m. and in Union Square at 1 p.m.
