SFSU shelter order lifted; Classes and activities resume Friday

A shelter in place at San Francisco State University on Thursday afternoon, prompted by an anonymous threat to the campus, has been lifted, officials said.

The university first posted an alert about the threat on social media at 12:30 p.m.. People on campus were asked to shelter in place, and all others were urged to stay away. All classes and activities were canceled for the day.

At about 4:20 p.m., SFSU posted an update, saying the shelter order had been lifted and that all activities, including finals, would resume on Friday.
