A hit-and-run driver struck an elderly man in San Jose Thursday afternoon, leaving him with life-threatening injuries, police said.
The collision happened at about 12:30 p.m. in the area of Monterey Road and Montecito Vista Drive, police said.
Police did not immediately have a description for the suspect vehicle.
Down the street, police were investigating a separate collision between a vehicle and a bicyclist.
The bicyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with authorities.
