Slight summer uptick of COVID cases in California

California is seeing a surge in COVID cases as we approach summer. Increased travel, indoor activities and the so-called “flirt” variants are fueling a 30% rise in COVID-related emergency room visits in the state in the last week of May. NBC Bay Area’s Raj Mathai spoke to Dr. Peter Chin-Hong of UCSF, for some insight.
