A 2.7 magnitude earthquake struck near San Ramon late Monday, followed by a 2.5 magnitude temblor southeast of San Jose, according to the USGS.
The first quake struck at 10:16 p.m. about 2 miles northeast of San Ramon, and the second quake hit at 10:21 p.m. about 15 miles southeast of San Jose, the USGS said.
