Alum Rock Unified facing school closures

Parents and teachers in east San Jose are celebrating a short lived win. Aptitud Community Academy at Goss was on the chopping block and parents took their complaints to the streets before facing the school board. Ultimately, the Alum Rock Union School Board voted to postpone closing the middle school. But, the impact of that decision? Now, more schools are at risk of closing. NBC Bay Area’s Raj Mathai spoke to Lorraine Gabbert, a reporter for the San Jose Spotlight, who was at the board meeting Thursday, for some insight on this story.
