San Jose police Monday morning were investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred Sunday night in the city's Edenvale neighborhood, according to the police department.

At about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 4200 block of Senter Road on reports of an individual shooting a gun outside of a business, police said.

When officers arrived at the scene, the male suspect was reported to be armed, and at least one officer shot him, police said. The suspect was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, and he later died.

Another shooting victim was found at the scene and was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.
