Santa Clara County has moved to a less restrictive reopening tier, allowing for some business sectors to resume indoor operations with limitations beginning Wednesday.
This move will allow restaurants to resume indoor dining at 25% capacity or 100 people, whichever is fewer.
Gyms and fitness centers, family entertainment centers, and wineries can open indoors at 25% capacity. Movie theaters and places of worship can resume indoor operations with 25% capacity or 100 people, whichever is fewer.
“We ask that everyone continue their efforts to prevent COVID-19 from spreading in our county,” said Dr. Sara Cody, Health Officer and Director of Public Health for the County of Santa Clara. “Everyone must take responsibility for preventing spread so that we don’t move back to more restrictive tiers under the State’s structure.”
Fewer than four daily COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people and test positivity rate at less than 5% are needed in order for Santa Clara County to move toward less restrictive limitations.
