Police in San Jose responded to a fatal shooting near Whaley Elementary School in east San Jose Saturday evening, authorities said.
Officers responded to the scene around 5:30 p.m. where a male victim died in the eighth homicide of the year.
It is not known if the suspect is outstanding.
