VTA bus driver attacked at transit center in Sunnyvale, agency says

NBC Universal, Inc. A VTA bus driver was attacked in Sunnyvale Monday night, the transportation agency said.

A VTA bus driver in Sunnyvale was assaulted and taken to a hospital Monday night, the transit agency said.

The incident was reported at about 6:40 p.m. at the Lockheed Martin Transit Center on North Mathilda and Fifth avenues, just a few blocks west of Moffett Field.

The Valley Transportation Authority said the driver was hurt and taken to a hospital, but the extent of their injuries was unknown.

Police had no information about a suspect, but VTA officials said a person was in custody.

No additional information was immediately available.
