Valley Transportation Authority light-rail service was suspended systemwide due to the May 26 mass shooting at the agency's rail maintenance yard in San Jose.
Bus bridges set up to cover light rail service will be discontinued starting Tuesday, the agency said. VTA said the substitute bus service is ending because of limited staffing.
Light rail service still remains suspended indefinitely. It's unclear when it will resume.
"We apologize for the inconvenience, and ask for your patience and understanding while we work to navigate this unprecedented circumstance," VTA said in a statement.
The transit agency is asking commuters to plan their trips via regular buses.
Commuters with any questions should contact the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority customer service line at 408-321-2300 to get personalized bus route planning.
