A Woodside man has been arrested on suspicion of murder of his wife, who authorities originally believed committed suicide in April, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities arrested Pooroushasb "Peter" Parineh at about 3 p.m. Thursday near South Mathilda and West Olive avenues in Sunnyvale. He was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility in Redwood City on suspicion of murder, according to the sheriff's office.
Parima Parineh was found dead April 13 by emergency responders in the bedroom of the Woodside home on Fox Hill Road that she shared with Peter Parineh, sheriff's Lt. Ray Lunny said.
She had been shot multiple times, and Peter Parineh alleged that she had taken her own life when he called 911 that day at about 4 p.m. Parineh said he had come home to find his wife had shot herself, Lunny said.
Six days later, evidence at the scene and a subsequent autopsy led investigators with the sheriff's office to believe that Parima Parineh had been murdered.
There were no signs of forced entry, nor was there any indication that Parima Parineh did not know her killer, Lunny said.
Investigators continued working on the case and developed sufficient probable cause for Peter Parineh's arrest based on information they later discovered, according to the sheriff's office.

If charges are filed against Parineh, he could appear in court Monday afternoon, San Mateo County Chief Deputy District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.
The San Mateo County District Attorney's Office will review the case Monday morning, Wagstaffe said.
