The Hay Fire in Solano County was 70% contained as of Saturday night after burning 869 acres east/northeast of Travis Air Force Base, which is in the city of Fairfield.

The vegetation fire broke out on Friday at about 1 p.m. off Hay Road and Burke Lane, which is an unincorporated area of Solano County 3 miles east of Vacaville and just over 3 miles from Travis Air Force Base, according to Cal Fire.

Firefighters from Cal Fire's Lake-Sonoma-Napa Unit are leading the response.

No injuries were reported and no structures had been damaged.
