The fight to overturn a ban on gay marriage in California will get a new face next month.
With a judge barring video from the trial to overturn Proposition 8 earlier this week, "Milk" screenwriter Dustin Lance Black has written a new play about the trial, which will star some of Hollywood's biggest names.
George Clooney will play the role of attorney David Boies, who fought to overturn the controversial voter-approved measure that banned gay marriage in California.
Martin Sheen will play the role of Ted Olson, who argued with Boies to overturn the proposition.
The two actors will read selections from the 2010 trial discussing the constitutionality of the proposition.
Clooney and Sheen will be joined by an all-star cast of actos, which includes Jaime Lee Curtis, Matt Bomer, Christine Lahti, Jane Lynch, Rob Reiner, George Takei and others.
The play will be directed by Rob Reiner and it will be shown March 3 at the Willshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles.
