FBI: Accused Church Gunman Was Sold Gun Illegally

Dylann Roof, the man accused of killing nine black parishioners at a historically black church in Charleston, South Carolina, during Bible study, should not have been able to purchase a gun, the FBI said Friday. Officials said a background check failure let Roof buy a .45-caliber handgun. Roof had previously acknowledged drug possession, according to the FBI. "We are all sick this happened," said the F.B.I. Director, James B. Comey. "We wish we could turn back time."
