Not even Dr. Phil could save the Gosselin's crumbling marriage.
In an interview for ABC's "Primetime: Family Secrets," Jon Gosselin confessed he and soon-to-be-ex wife Kate met with celebrity therapist Dr. Phil to try to mend their broken marriage.
"I was very hesitant," Jon said. "I was like, 'What the heck is this?"
Gosselin said the session was more about sprucing up the tarnished image of their TLC show "Jon & Kate Plus 8" rather than trying to repair the couple's damaged relationship.
"We talked about the brand and corporate things and making the brand work," Gosselin said. "I felt it was weird. I was like, 'Why am I here? I could be snowboarding.' It wasn't helping."
Dr. Phil said in a statement to ABC that he had no comment on the Gosselin's marriage.
"I respect the Gosselin's privacy," he said.

Jon said previously he blamed Kate for their crumbling marriage because she refused to go to any other counseling session except for the meeting with Dr. Phil.
"I have a $22,000 therapy bill, " Gosselin said. "I mean, I tried to have marriage counseling. I did it myself. She refused to go."
Gosselin, 32, said his relationship with the mother of his eight kids is beyond repair after unraveling publicly in the media spotlight this summer.
"I despise [her]," Gosselin said.
