SeaWorld San Diego wants the public’s help to name its newest killer whale.
“Baby Shamu,” as he’s being called now, was born Feb. 14 to mom Kasatka. He was the six killer whale born at SeaWorld San Diego, according to park officials.
People can chose among three names:
- Hako (Scandinavian) meaning “true son”
- Valentino (Italian) meaning “strong”
- Makani (Hawaiian) meaning “the wind”
To vote, visit SeaWorld San Diego’s Facebook page. Voting started Monday, June 10 and runs through Friday, June 14, when the name will be announced.
