Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Nyjer Morgan will skate with the San Jose Sharks, at least for one day.
The Sharks say Morgan will practice with the team at Sharks Ice on Wednesday. The 31-year-old San Francisco native grew up playing hockey and even played competitively in the Western Hockey League.
"I'm really excited to get on the ice with the team," Morgan told the San Jose Sharks Staff. "I've been a die hard fan since the team came to San Jose in 1991. I will never forget the George Kingston and Patty Falloon days. I'm not sure the guys are ready for me!"
Morgan decided to ditch hockey and pursue baseball in the 1999-00 season.
Sharks captain Joe Thornton says he's excited to see what Morgan can do on the ice.
