The Dodgers are adding to their bullpen in a push to claim another NL West title.

Ryan Madson is heading to the Dodgers from the Nationals, according to Ken Rosenthal. The Dodgers put in a waiver claim for Madson Wednesday, and it appears a deal is getting done Friday.

Madson, 38, is 2-5 with a 5.28 ERA for the Nationals this season. This season hasn't been kind to Madson as his ERA is the second-highest in his 13-year career, as is his 1.421 WHIP.

Madson spent the entire 2016 season with the A's and the first half of the 2017 season before being traded to the Nationals. In Oakland, Madson went 8-11 with a 3.03 ERA and recorded 31 saves.

Going into Friday's slate of games, the Dodgers (72-62) are in third place in the NL West, two games back of the D'backs.
